New England Revolution loses in the Major League Soccer championship game in California.

The Revolution lose 2-1 in overtime to the Los Angeles Galaxy before 27,000 at StubHub Center in Carson. It is the team’s fifth MLS championship game loss in five attempts. The Revolution was trying to become the fifth Boston-area professional sports team to win a professional title.
